Metro Line 14 began operations in 1998 and is the youngest of all the Paris Metro Lines. It is fully automated and connects central Paris on the right bank to the Olympiades in the 13^th ward on the left bank, redevelopment district. It has fewer stops than the other Metro Lines making for faster time and many of its stations are barrier-free. Train frequency on this line is high.
