Hello, and thank you for visiting! My name is Yuki, and I’m the owner of this app.
I’m originally from Japan and have been living in Paris since 2017. This app is entirely self-developed. I started working on it in July 2023 with the help of an app developer based in Japan, and we completed it in March 2024. While the app is functional, there is still room for improvement, and I plan to add new features in the future.
The idea for this app came from a website I launched back in the fall of 2018. The website provided information about subway station exits in Paris, and I wanted to make it even more convenient by integrating it with Google Maps.
The original motivation behind the website was personal. A close friend of mine, who had lived in Italy for nearly 50 years, had just been discharged from the hospital after a long illness. I encouraged her to visit Paris, but she mentioned that navigating the Paris Metro would be physically demanding for her. Inspired to help, I decided to create a way to easily identify stations with exits that minimize walking or stairs. The very next day, I started visiting every station in Paris, and over the course of a month and a half, I collected detailed information about their exits.
During my research, I discovered that some stations involve long transfer times, while others have significant differences in elevation between platforms and exits. These details are often impossible to know without visiting the stations in person.
For those with plenty of energy and flexibility, or for travelers who enjoy the adventure of getting a little lost, this app may not be essential. However, for people with mobility challenges or those who want to make the most of their time while sightseeing, I truly believe this app can be a helpful tool.
Please note that the app cannot be offered for free because I need to pay licensing fees to the map provider based on usage. I hope for your understanding in this matter.
I’m constantly working on improvements, and your feedback would be incredibly valuable in helping me make the app even better. I sincerely hope this app will be useful to you.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to serving you!
